Explore your future and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 2- Communications Element SEIT to join our Command & Launch Communication Equipment hardware, software and systems team. This position will be in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.

The successful candidate will:The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Space System team supporting the Air Force's Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.This will include development, production and deployment of Command & Launch Communication Equipment hardware, software and systems for each weapon system facility.The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers.

Responsible for leading teams to perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Other essential activities include: Requirements, architecture and verification leadership and ownership. Collaborate and accept segment requirements flow down, developing segment level verification planning and artifacts.

Lead of Element level requirements, architecture and verification decomposition/flowdown to all Support Elements. Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering approach in all activities. Creation and maturation of several SSE CDRL's and support of product area CDRL's.

Support of requirements allocation to the appropriate Configured Items and associated requirements development for both internal to NGC and externally provided by subcontractors and suppliers. Specialty Systems Engineering supports both verification planning and execution activities throughout the EMD contract as well as material qualification and production.The selected candidate would also serve as a Section Manager within the Systems Engineering Directorate, responsible for the coaching, mentoring, and career guidance for a section of System Engineers.

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 6 years of related experienceAt least 1 year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule2+ Years experience developing, fielding, and/or operating Communications SystemsActive DoD Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications:ICBM experienceExperience with any of the following tools and languages: CORE, DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, ModelCenter, MagicDraw, Easy Power, Prima Vera, UML, SysMLRequirements Management: MBSE, Functional Block Diagrams, Specification TreesSystems and end item requirements validation and verificationDesign: Systems Design, Systems Architecture, Systems Integration, N2 Analysis, Trade StudiesFailure Modes, Effects, and Criticality AnalysisDecision Making: Risk Management, Cost-Risk-Benefit Analysis, and Cost Account ManagementExperience with working with government/military personnel at government/military facilities.Systems Engineering V and test tools.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practicesExperience with Communication systems, RF and digital hardware design and Networking.Salary Range: $127,700.00 - $191,500.
