This Director will head up the Data Integration team. They will also be hiring a manager of this team multiple technical team members to fill it out, but Ahmed needs to identify the Director first.

Purpose of this role is to set the strategy of the data integrations that CHS will be conducting within their GCP foundation that they completed last year. Expansiona and more capabilities will be needed as the EHR (Cerner/medhost), new ERP sys. (Oracle) continue to evolve and grow.

Net new API management, Google Apigee, HL7 and FHIR experience are also key to bring in with this role. Not necessarily a hands-on role, but he still wants someone who can jump in the weeds with the team if they need to. First and foremost, this person will need to have the professional aura to speak in front of Executives and C-Suite in order to be the communication piece around the overall data strategy.

They'll also work closely with Ahmed to manage data integrations across the enterprise. More from published JD: This Data Integrations Director is responsible for identifying and defining source data and its integrations into clinical, technical, financial, and operational systems for use in the development, maintenance, reporting, and exchanging of core enterprise data. The role must effectively interface with IT technical, front line clinical, operational, informatics, and data science roles to execute end to end sourcing and integration of data to, and from, systems with minimal impact on existing operations.

Strategy Development: create, implement, execute, and manage conceptual and technical strategies for sourcing of new data to, and from, data source (EHRs, Oracle, etc.) and repository systems (ie GCP); participate in the organizational data and analytics strategy by advising and providing thought leadership for data integration mapping and structuring of data that contributes to efficient organizational data ingress and egress; define and implement API gateway strategies. Solution Implementation: manage, facilitate, and execute the decision-making process during the integration implementation phases; identify champions, decision maker(s), influencers, teams, and partners to successfully integrate systems quickly and efficiently; successfully prioritize and balance multiple initiatives against the organization's data strategy leveraging repeatable/reusable work within Mirth Integration Engine, Cloud, HL7, and FHIR tools and technologies.

Operations Management: maintain, and optimize core enterprise data integration solutions (interfaces, APIs/API gateways, integration engines, etc.) to realize organizational business needs and overarching data strategy objectives; serve as a cross-functional leader during production data support activities, bridging and coordinating resources to triage, resolve, and provide lessons learned related to the resolution of production data challenges; develop and implement data integration success metrics and manage corresponding continuous improvement initiatives. Team Leadership: direct, lead, recruit, train, and manage a team of healthcare integration specialists with Data Integration Engine, Cloud, HL7, and FHIR experience to ensure the delivery of high fidelity and aptly supported interface messaging; set performance goals, provide guidance, and conduct regular performance evaluations; foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Stakeholder and Vendor Engagement: facilitate the coordination and collaboration of organizational data stakeholders, IT professionals, and vendor partners to define and implement data integration solutions that meet multiple business needs/use cases; evangelize and promote shared data integration platform services across all products, enable APIs for easy adoption and create strong alignment between teams; maintain strong relationships with vendors, internal stakeholders, and organizational leadership. Security and Privacy Compliance: oversee activities to define and document data integration controls that uphold data security and privacy standards; ensure that healthcare data exchanged through integrations adheres to privacy and security regulations, such as HIPAA and HITECH; mitigate data integration related risks and develop business continuity/disaster recovery plans. Advocate Innovation: set the strategic direction for best-in-class data integration platforms and API gateway practices; foster an environment of innovation, driving the adoption of new technologies to enhance the capabilities of data integration platforms; stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data integration platforms and API implementation/management.
